Abstract

This qualitative case study examines the ethics of written communication among STIBADA MASA students within the context of Arabic tradition and its implementation in academic digital messages. The study aims to analyze students' understanding of Islamic values, the structure of their digital messages, and their impact on academic relationships. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings show that students’ communication ethics are strongly shaped by Islamic adab values, implemented through greetings, identity, message content, and closing statements. However, major obstacles remain in practice, particularly regarding incomplete identity information and inappropriate communication timing. In conclusion, written communication ethics play an essential role in building effective digital academic interactions, but institutional guidelines are necessary to stabilize daily implementation.
